How did you start analyzing the issue of skin bleaching?

My interesting in skin bleaching began when I saw men
doing it. It is related to my interest in the representation of
women and men, in what is beautiful and what is grotesque.
When I saw men engaging in this practice, which seemed
grotesque and was also associated with feminine practices, I
thought that was really important. And I also remember that
when men started bleaching their skin, they started wearing
different outfits. What I am trying to do is raise questions about
the meaning of masculinity, and how it really functions within
dancehall space and dancehall aesthetics.
