Why did you come to live in France and what impact has it had on your work?

Living in France is a way of deciding where I live and achieving a certain
distance. I chose France for reasons of language and administrative facility.
Like other artists before me, I wanted to put myself in a situation where I
could meet other creators, intellectuals from other parts of the world, other
historical backgrounds, other cultures, to exchange and compare and perhaps
even to find myself.
