Saint-Germain-des-Prés est le quartier historique, et plus que
jamais actuel, des arts et de la culture à Paris. La patine du
temps a doté ses marchands d’un instinct qui a toujours su leur
éviter les dérives hasardeuses des modes sans lendemain pour
ne garder que le meilleur et le plus sûr de l’art.
« Art Saint-Germain-des-Prés », association réunissant les
galeries parmi les plus actives de ce quartier, fête en 2014 sa

session.
Une fête en mai
Le vernissage, le soir du jeudi 22 mai 2014, se prolongera par
l’après-midi du dimanche 25.
De plus, les expositions se poursuivront tout au long du « Juin
d’Art Saint-Germain », occasion pour le public de les savourer
calmement, comme elles le méritent.
Une exposition capitale en juin
La plupart des marchands, qui l’ont préparée avec soin, la
considèrent en effet comme l’exposition majeure de l’année.
Les galeries les plus prestigieuses y participent, tout parti-
culièrement dans les trois spécialités dans lesquelles elles
excellent : art moderne et contemporain, archéologie et art
tribal, et enfin arts décoratifs et design.
Une expression enrichie
Pour la première fois, grâce à un partenariat entre notre
association et
Art Absolument,
ce numéro hors série annuel
entièrement dédié à Art Saint-Germain-des-Prés a pu voir le
jour ; sa diffusion, assurée par les galeries, sera étendue aux
kiosques et aux libraires.
Par ailleurs, dans cette belle revue, chaque marchand va vous
faire découvrir ce qu’il considère comme les valeurs sûres de
sa galerie : un artiste, une période, un objet, un mouvement ou
encore une spécialité…

Saint-Germain-des-Prés, long the home of art and culture in
Paris, is even more the center for galleries today. The patina of
time has given its dealers an instinct for avoiding risky devia-
tions into short-lived fashions and keeping only the best choices
and wisest investments among available artworks.
“Art Saint-Germain-des-Prés” (ASGP), an association that brings
together some of the most active galleries in the neighborhood,
is planning its 16
th
festival in 2014.
A celebration in may
The opening on Thursday night, May 22, 2014 will be extended
on Sunday afternoon, May 25.
The exhibits will continue throughout “Juin d’Art Saint-Germain”
to give the public an opportunity to quietly savor the artworks
as they deserve.
A major exhibition in june
Most of the dealers, who have carefully prepared the event,
consider this the most important exhibition of the year.
The most prestigious galleries will be participating, particularly
in the three specialties in which they excel: modern and contem-
porary art, archeology and tribal art, and finally decorative arts
and design.
Enriched expression
For the first time, this annual special edition dedicated entirely
to Art Saint-Germain-des-Prés was made possible through a
partnership between our association and Art Absolument. The
magazine will be distributed by the galleries and on sale at
newsstands and bookstores.
In this beautiful revue, all the participating dealers will introduce
you to what they consider the safest artistic bets at their gal-
leries: an artist, a period, an object, a movement or a specialty.
